The Epiphone Coronet is one of the last undiscovered gems from rock and roll's classic era--used by 50's rock pioneers, British Invasion bluesmen, and late 70s punk and new wave bands. It's a classic--yes--but practical, too. And open to interpretation and artistic expression. The Coronet has a double cutaway mahogany body with a bolt-on 24.75” scale SlimTaper™ mahogany neck which joins the body at the 22nd fret giving you ultimate upper fret access. Lightweight and comfortable, the Coronet has excellent resonance and natural acoustic tone even unplugged! The Coronet features a combination wrap-around StopBar™ bridge and tailpiece with compensated saddles and adjustment screws to allow for accurate intonation. The Coronet is voiced by a hot open-coil Epiphone 700T humbucker pickup
One of the Coronet’s most recognizable features is Epiphone's own "batwing" headstock. The "batwing" is a classic headstock that improves tuning ease and accuracy by offering a straight string-pull design and is adorned like the original with the vintage "Epiphone" logo in gold.
